ARVA training field project
27/12/2011 - 30/04/2012Training camp ARVA was purchased under the project Interreg III A ALCOTRA "Sécurité en montagne autour du Mont-Blanc."
The Ortovox training ARVA system is installed, as every winter, close to the Pavillon station, in collaboration with the Funivie Monte Bianco.
Anyone who wants to practice can do it for free contacting the staff of Funivie Monte Bianco at the Pavillon station; they´ll give the control unit.
The system is composed of 5 transmitters buried under the snow and a control unit guarded by the Funivie Monte Bianco (Pavillon), with which you can turn any apparatus buried under the snow for personalizing the research with increasing degrees of difficulty to simulate a real situation of an accident involving avalanches.

Sunshine under the slopes of Monte Bianco

The Glacier of the Toula is characterized for its 2.000 meters of gap, the complex varying of the free rider slopes is suitable just for the ski experts. From Point Helbronner is possible to arrive until the Pavillon du Mont Frèty or, snow allowing, until the entrance of the Monte Bianco tunnel.
