Cave Mont Blanc, high-altitude sparkling wine production
Visit Cave Mont Blanc, for a toast at 2.173 meters.
The Cave Mont Blanc of the Morgex and La Salle, after 30 years of experience in the production of Spumante according to the traditional method in the Valle d’Aosta, has for 10 years now been involved in the experimentation and production of high-altitude Spumante.
This experience was made possible by a partnership between Cave Mont Blanc and the company of Courmayeur guides, with a shared view to the experimentation and promotion of a territory unique in the world and its products.
It was 20 July 2009 when the first bottle of Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle Metodo Classico Extrabrut “Cuvée des Guides” was “axed” open at the summit of Mont Blanc, as a tribute to the mountain and its guides.
Prié Blanc, the Valle d’Aosta’s only autochthonous, ungrafted white vine, has found its natural interpreters in the Cave Mont Blanc winemakers and one of its best expressions in “Metodo Classico” Spumante.
