It’s one of the most interesting archaeological sites in Europe, with significant evidence from nearly five millennia of history
The Aosta archaeological area was discovered in June 1969.
It extends for roughly a hectare and reveals one of the most interesting archaeological sites in the world, with significant evidence from nearly five millennia of history, from the end of the Neolithic Period to the present day.
The visit itinerary for the megalithic area of Saint Martin de Corléans begins with a chronological descent from today to the prehistoric period. Along a route dotted with images referring to human history, the museum’s pathways lead visitors to the level of the actual archaeological site (at c. 6 meters below street level).
Thanks to an agreement between the Megalithic Area and Skyway Monte Bianco you are entitle to a 10% discount upon presentation of your Skyway ticket at the Area’s ticket offices. The same goes for Area customers visiting Skyway (not combinable with other discounts or promotions).
