Freeriders’ most beloved itinerary begins from Punta Helbronner and arrives in Chamonix, offering unique emotions and thrills at every turn
Unique in its category, the descent of the Vallée Blanche is a route of spectacular beauty. A classic itinerary for all freeriders that unfolds for over 20 km on the Mer de Glace Glacier, in the heart of the Mont Blanc massif, starting from Punta Helbronner at 3,466 m and arriving at Chamonix at 1,042 m.
Impossible not to be moved before the marvels that nature is capable of offering, like the magnificent granite gargoyles, the crevasses and séracs in their pastel shades, but also the stupefying panoramas protected by the mountains that crown the summit of the Alps.
The descent is appropriate for skiers accustomed to skiing parallel on red slopes in full control. But given that it’s an off-piste itinerary on a glacier it’s a good idea to make use of the professional knowledge of an alpine guide.
