IS IT POSSIBLE TO RESERVE A PLACE IN THE CABLEWAY FOR A SPECIFIC TIME?

Yes, it’s possible to reserve your place on the trip up. To do so, it’s necessary to make a reservation online before midnight of the day before, inserting the desired date and time.

IF I’VE MADE A RESERVATION FOR A SPECIFIC TIME, CAN I USE THE TICKET EARLIER OR LATER WITH RESPECT TO THE INDICATED TIME?

Yes, you simply lose your reserved place in the specific cable car you chose. So the ticket loses its reservation and functions like a normal ticket purchased online without a reservation.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO PURCHASE A FAMILY PACKAGE, A SPA PACKAGE, ETC., ONLINE?

At present it’s only possible to purchase the family package on line. If you want to purchase other packages, you must refer directly to the structures themselves.

I’M UNABLE TO PRINT OUT THE PDF TICKETS PURCHASED ONLINE, WHAT CAN I DO?

It’s possible to visualize the tickets on your smartphone, without the need to print them.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO MAKE THE TRIP FROM COURMAYEUR TO AIGUILLE DU MIDI OR COURMAYEUR TO CHAMONIX?

Yes, but Funivie Monte Bianco S.p.A. only manages the Courmayeur-Punta Helbronner segment. For the rest of the trip, it’s necessary to contact and purchase tickets from the French company.

I’D LIKE TO GIVE A FUNIVIE MONTE BIANCO S.P.A. TICKET AS A GIFT. HOW CAN I DO SO? CAN IT BE USED BY THIRD PARTIES EVEN IF I HAVE PURCHASED IT?

You must purchase the ticket online on our website or directly at the ticket office. Once purchased, it’s possible to give the ticket to third parties, as they do not contain the user’s name.

WHERE CAN YOU PAY FOR YOUR PARKING SLIP?

The slip must be paid for at the automatic payment machines. These are located in a passage between the bar and the ticket office, and in the entrance to the carpark near the information point.

ARE THERE PARKING SPACES RESERVED FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES? HOW DO THEY FUNCTION?

There are some disabled parking spaces. At the end of your visit, simply take your parking slip to the machines, accompanied by the badge certifying the disability.

WHERE IS THE BOTANICAL GARDEN LOCATED?


The botanical garden is located at Pavillon. Once you reach the station from Courmayeur, you’ll find the exit on the right and you can access the garden directly. The botanical garden is included in the return ticket for Punta Helbronner or Pavillon. It’s open from June to September.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET TO PUNTA HELBRONNER?

20 minutes, via two consecutive cableway rides of roughly 10 minutes each.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO REACH THE GLACIER?

The Colle del Gigante Glacier is a high-mountain environment characterised by the related objective hazards, so access to it requires mountaineering expertise and equipment. It is no longer possible to arrive from Punta Helbronner station. It is necessary to use the elevators that lead to the Rifugio Torino. From there you will have direct access to the glacier.

IS THE CONNECTION WITH AIGUILLE DU MIDI AND CHAMONIX OPEN ALL YEAR ROUND?

No, the connection is open only in the summer season. Furthermore, its opening requires the presence of suitable weather conditions.

ARE THERE BEATEN PATHS IN THE WINTER?

No, there are only off-piste itineraries that require adequate preparation and appropriate equipment.

HOW SHOULD I DRESS?

At Punta Helbronner the temperatures can drop below 0°, so we suggest long pants, a jacket, sunscreen, and sunglasses. Also gloves, a hat, etc. ... equipment must be assessed based on individual sensibility.

WHERE IS THE RESTAURANT LOCATED?

The restaurant is located at Pavillon. Also at Pavillon you’ll find a café, while at Punta Helbronner you’ll find a bistro where you can eat.

ARE THERE PARTICULAR TIPS FOR CHILDREN, SENIORS, PREGNANT WOMAN, ETC.?

There are no particular requirements, but we advise you to consult your doctor in the cases of small children, seniors, pregnant women, or those with heart conditions. It is advisable, however, to make a stop at Pavillon before continuing up to the higher elevations.

ARE THERE RATE REDUCTIONS FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES?

A 50% discount is offered to people with a disability over 70%. A 20% discount is offered to the person accompanying them. To obtain the reduction, a certification proving the disability must be presented at the ticket office.

CAN I BRING MY DOG? HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

It is possible to bring a dog, which can enter all the areas except the botanical garden (an attendant will be charged with watching it) and the French side of the mountain. Leash and muzzle are mandatory. The cost of the ticket is €7.

IF I PURCHASE MY TICKET FOR PUNTA HELBRONNER, CAN I STOP OFF AT PAVILLON AND THEN JUMP BACK ON THE CABLEWAY FOR PUNTA HELBRONNER?

Yes, it’s possible to stop off at Pavillon both on the way up and on the way down.

IF I PURCHASE A RETURN TICKET, CAN I REPEAT A SECTION THAT I HAVE ALREADY TRAVELLED?

No, the ticket allows you to cover each section only once.

ARE THERE ARCHITECTURAL BARRIERS INSIDE THE STATION?

WHO CAN ACCESS THE GLACIER? ARE THERE MARKED ITINERARIES?

From the Rifugio Torino depart strictly high-mountain itineraries on a glacier with crevasses. These itineraries require adequate preparation and equipment, without which they’re dangerous.

ARE THEIR AGREEMENTS WITH OTHER STRUCTURES?

Yes, in the summer period with the purchase of each ticket you receive a packet of coupons usable in various other structures..

IS IT POSSIBLE TO USE THE CABLEWAY IF YOU HAVE A PUSHCHAIR WITH YOU?

Yes, it’s possible to use the cableway and bring a pushchair with you. You will simply be asked to fold it up so as to occupy the least possible space in the cable car.
