The croissants of Paolo Griffa on Mont Blanc
The 'croissant' of high altitude.
Paolo Griffa, Michelin-starred chef at the Caffè Nazionale in Aosta, began his career in pastry making, creating a line of viennoiseries, leavened pastries and mignons.
The Chef and Skyway Monte Bianco have been related for years and, this summer, the idea of a high-altitude 'croissantteria' was born.
In the 3 cafés of our cable car, at the start, at the Pavillon and at Punta Helbronner, it will be possible to taste the assortment of these croissants:
- the croissant, which has always been a symbol of breakfast, to be filled at the moment with jam, custard, hazelnuts or Sicilian pistachios
- the savoury croissant with ham and fontina cheese;
- the cubic, a modern approach to breakfast, to savour the Mont Blanc flavour and the Aosta Valley tradition;
- the girella with apples and polenta crumble, a strong link with local and regional products
- the pain au chocolat, the unmissable puff pastry, for those with a sweet tooth.
From Saturday 15 June, the breakfast or sweet break are signed by Paolo Griffa, bringing up the quality and territoriality of Valle d'Aosta.
